You just get called for a last minute audition. You hop over the toys in the hallway, you finally call in that favor to watch your kid for 45min. You have your wardrobe down, hair is doable, but the face you have no clue where to start. Are you camera ready? NO! Do you have time to dissect what gold tone blush is going to be too much for the best friend to the lead role? No!
Well fret not because my life saver for a few years has been a good stick foundation and this plethora of colors shown in the pic below.
Truth is moms, all you need is a great palette to work with. It is literally a one stop shop for your make up needs. I use a gifted Lord and Taylor combo pack that includes eye shadow, lipstick/gloss, and blush. As you can see from the pics I’m running a little low on my favorite colors so I will be looking into what is out there now. I started my search by checking out what this months featured Mom In The Industry I.M.C mom, Veronica Campbell, is reviewing in her blog Luxe Beauty.

I’m sure most of you know that Smashbox is firmly seated in my list of top 5 prestige makeup brands. My love affair with Smashbox began with a tube of their first released BB Cream over 6 years ago. And now, I’ve finally gotten my hands on a palette and I want to share it with you today. It’s the third installment of the SmashBox Master Class Palette.
I’d been wanting to purchase more from Smashbox since I owned quite a few lipsticks and blushes but never pulled the trigger. I didn’t have any eyeshadows by the brand so I knew a palette would be the best way to go this time around.
Smashbox Master Class Palette III
I purchased this palette in November shortly after my birthday had passed. At that time, I was in desperate need for new eyeshadows and I wanted a wide range of colors in a hurry. It had been quite a while since I treated myself to anything other than photography gear so this felt like the perfect treat. It’s definitely proved to be the right choice because I’m so happy the quality of the palette.
The packaging is sturdy and small enough to be held in one hand. The outside cover is black with starlight detail and the Smashbox logo is embossed on the center.
The palette opens like a book to display a total of 32 highly pigmented eye shadows, 3 blushes and 3 contouring powders. The pots are protected with hinged plastic covers on each side. The eyeshadows and face powders have a velvety texture and blend with very little effort and superb color payoff. This palette even comes with blank face charts and a look book for you to master the makeup looks. As you’ll see int he photos I’ve been dipping into this already–I really do love this palette.
Smashbox was very thoughtful in putting this palette together and I would recommend it for masters and beginners alike. For the masters who work on location, there’s a wide range of colors to use on clients without breaking out the entire arsenal. For beginners, this palette offers high quality essentials without breaking the bank–definitely plenty of bang for your buck.
I’m so glad I purchased this palette and it was well worth the $65.00.
